The pliXos B2B marketplace for software development projects (www.plixos.com/market) is getting positive recognition by users. Many providers have already been acquired in order to foster the basic idea of fast and safe awarding of projects to the best fitting service providers for customers. Additionally, a new rating system was defined and is currently evaluated by experts.
After launching the pliXos B2B marketplace for fast and safe tendering of global software development projects for customers, new service providers have continuously been added. For this purpose pliXos identified fitting enterprises and directly asked them to register on the marketplace. Especially providers from Eastern European countries like Ukraine and Bulgaria showed great interest.
A rating system of providers from a customer’s perspective was developed and is currently evaluated by domain experts. Both, direct customers of a specific provider as well as pliXos as the neutral operator of the marketplace are able to rate individual providers, which shall serve as a valuable source of information to new customers.
The rating system contains three quality clusters: “delivered software, service and the service provider in general” each one consisting of further sub-criteria. Particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) profit from the neutral ratings, since many may not be familiar with the implementation of global development projects. The marketplace helps them with getting started easily and at low risk.
Dr. Joerg Stimmer, MD of pliXos, explains: “The positive resonance we got after presenting the rating system to selected experts proves that the rating system results in a significant increase in attractiveness of our marketplace for customers. We offer SMEs a possibility to minimize risks of tendering and project implementation. We think this to be in line with the goals of the initiative Digital Bavaria which aims at achieving a new way of synergies between local enterprises and the information and communications technology.” In numerous domains, the Internet offers a major extension of the classical value proposition of enterprises. This allows new potentials to be realized and especially SMEs could profit from this development.
Dr. Joerg Stimmer is convinced that in line with an increasing Digitalisation the dynamics of the Internet will extend to services between companies (“B2B”) in the following years. We want to contribute to this development with our marketplace.
pliXos sees itself as a provider of solutions for the optimization of globally distributed software services. Significant cost and time advantages are implemented by using these solutions based on best-practices processes. Offers of pliXos are "tool-assisted" evaluation and analysis of global sourcing projects, the optimized control of such projects as well as consulting and the assumption of overall responsibility for individual projects. pliXos was founded in April 2009. Participants include the High-Tech Gründerfonds, Bayern Kapital and a Bavarian entrepreneur (private investor).
